How much BioMagic or BioBuddy do I need to use in my Cassette or Holding Tank?
As a rough guide start off with at least 1-litre of water in a 20-litre Cassette or 2-litres of water in a larger holding tank, the idea being that you make sure that any waste going into the tank can be covered by the water/Bio-fluid mixture for it to be effective. Then for the first dose, add 25-ml of the Bio-Fluid in a cassette and if you don’t empty by the 3rd day you may need to add another 25-ml but base this on any odour that there may be, if there is odour then add more, if not leave it until there is odour or until you empty, then start again.
It's the same with the medium sized holding tanks, if after adding the first dose of 50-ml you notice odour before 5 days have gone by, simply add another 50-ml. In very large tanks you need to start with enough water to cover the bottom of the tank at least 25-mm (1-inch) deep in order to make sure solid waste is covered then add at least 100-ml. Once you have used this product for a week or two, you will build up a healthy collony of microbes in your tank and these will work for your tank in much the same way as those Bio-health drinks such at Yacult or Acimel will work in the human gut.
The minimum Biological fluid ratio of water/waste in the tank is 400 ppm (parts per million) so lets say you have a 20-litre tank and it is half-full of waste/water then you would need to add at least 25-ml of Bio-fluid. Therefore for every 10-litres of water/waste that remains in your tank you will need at least 25-ml per. week for every 10-litres in the cassette.
So, if your tank has say 50-litres of water/waste mix in it, you would need 50/10 = 5 X 25-ml = 125-ml per week to stay within the minimum fluid to water/waste ratio of 400-ppm.
So, for 100-litres of waste/water you would need to add at least 100/10 X 25-ml =250-ml a week and so on until you empty the tank. The greater the volume of waste/water fluid in the tank, the more Bio-Fluid you need to add per week until you empty. The most efficient way is to dose for a No-Odour condition and a blockage free tank.
For Grey water tanks add just 50-ml to a 100-litre tank then add another 50-ml after you have emtied it.
For Flushing tanks add 25-ml to a full tank until empty then start again. A good tip is to make up a trigger spray bottle with 1/3 Bio-Fluid to 2/3 water, give it a really good shake then use this to spray your toilet bowl before and after use, spray your sink and shower drains at least once a day when they are in use and you can also use this to clean the toilet bowl, the shower tray and any hard surfaces except food prep. areas. Use to clean carpets and fabrics but please check for colourfastness first. BioMagic and BioBuddy are non hazardous and contain no harsh chemicals or poisons.
DON'T USE THE PINK FLUSH, MILTON, BLEACH OR ANY HARSH CHEMICALS WITH ANY BIOLOGICAL TOILET FLUIDS. DONT MIX WITH ELSAN, THETFORD BLUE OR GREEN OR ANY OTHER Non-Bio fluids.
