TYPICAL DAIRY POND BEFORE TREATMENT: You can see that the surface of this pond has crusted over, this is an indication of a septic or anaerobic pond. The liquid in this type of pond will produce hydrogen sulphide and methane gas and contains many harmful pathogens, when spread on pastures it will produce bad odours and will take many days before cattle can graze on the poison coated grass.

Here you can see that the pond crust has all but been eliminated and lush green grass has taken root on the surface of the pond where before there was no growth due to the septic nature of the crust. This grass can be removed mechanically as it is only floating on the surface, or it can be removed by Roundup and when it dies and sinks to the bottom, it too will be digested by the hyper-active aerobic bacteria.

So! How does it work?
The 5-litre Bottle.

DAIRYMAX is a two-part stable liquid made from organic compounds: Bottle A is the activator and contains among other biological compounds 1.5% humic acid derived from compost. This special blend is the result of collaboration between microbiologists and nano technology scientists to form a unique 21st. century product.

DAIRYMAX has an unusual ability in that it allows the resident facultative and aerobic bacteria to grow rapidly yet remain in the aerobic state for more than ten times longer than they would without treatment, even in an apparent septic environment. The combination of biological compounds and nutrients allow these hyperactive bacteria to seek out the very last traces of available oxygen so that they can continue to aerobically digest the organic solids in the effluent. It has been found during many treatments in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, that after the first booster treatment this hyper-activity can go on for up to one month. Once activated the pond will need just a smaller maintenance dose to maintain the aerobic digestion and new effluent is added. For this reason DairyMax is unique in the small quantities that are required once a month yet achieve so much more than any other product on the market.

The 2.5-litre & 500-ml Bottles.
DAIRYMAX NUTRIENTS.
The larger bottle contains the nutrients with space to take the contents of the smaller bottle, the Activator.
Bottle N contains the nutrients such as calcium, potassium, nitrates and special electrolytes that create an oxygenated and nitrogen rich environment to stimulate and create rapid growth of the resident facultative bacteria.
Just before dosing your lagoon, pond or silo with this product, pour the activator bottle A into the nutrient bottle N and mix together by shaking the larger bottle. There will be space in the larger bottle so that the contents of the smaller bottle can be accommodated. As soon as it is mixed, pour it directly into the liquid part of the effluent and not on the crust. Provided the temperature is right for bacterial action, above about 8-degrees Centigrade, then very soon the surface solids will begin to be digested and clear patches of liquid will appear. Toward the end of the first month or just in to the second month, again depending on favorable temperatures, there will be a sudden upwelling of solids from below. This is the the result of the sludge being digested at the bottom of the effluent and it will continue to be digested on the surface until the surface is clear as shown on the picture.
